TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:

Throughout GTA and GGH

 

SUMMARY

 

The Acquisition Associate position will collaborate with the land and housing teams to investigate and explore acquisition opportunities across the GTA/GGH to grow the Low and Midrise Residential platform.    

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Conduct market analysis, site selection, demographic and utilization analysis.
  • Identifying, evaluating new acquisition opportunities
  • Coordinate broker correspondence, tracking and monitoring real estate transactions
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, land and housing teams
  • Monitor industry metrics, market trends, municipal land supply
  • Track municipal land needs evaluations
  • Prepare land and housing feasibilities and financial proformas to support acquisitions
  • Undertake due diligence - planning, engineering, sales and marketing inputs to support acquisitions.
  • Network with broker community across the GTA/GGH to target and investigate potential opportunities

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a real estate function, planning, engineering, finance
  • Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Finance, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Analytic skills, market research, detail oriented, multi-task oriented, professional, and self-motivated.
  • Experience in MS Office systems, excel
  • Candidates must have a demonstrated sense of urgency, be a team player, bring a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
  • Strong belief in continuous learning and utilizing all new knowledge and skills on the job.
  • Ability to function and thrive in a team-oriented environment collaborating effectively with others while supporting the goals of the business.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proactive problem recognition and solution.
  • Valid G License and Vehicle required as extensive travel throughout the Region will be required.
