Lora Bay Golf Club is a privately owned Golf Operation in Thornbury, Ontario. Our mission is to provide our members and guests with the challenge and beauty of a truly superior golf course and to make Lora Bay synonymous with service, quality, relaxation and elegance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Orchestrate set-up, mise en place, meeting rooms and bar for service.
· Organize reservations/set-up, server sections for shift.
· Maintain Food and Beverage inventories, count and spillage sheets.
· Assist Food and Beverage Manager with Event operations, as directed, pertaining food and beverage requirements.
· Responsible for forecasting and managing daily staffing levels to ensure adequate staffing for all events and daily operations.
· Accountable for the performance, conduct, discipline and deportment of food and beverage staff.
· Counsel staff in regard to performance issues in accordance with SOP’s and HR procedures.
· Accountable for adherence to all food and beverage procedures and policies.
· Greet guests, present menus, inform of any features, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverage items.
· Engage, converse and interact with guests in a positive, friendly, professional, courteous and respectful manner at all times;
· Ensure food and beverage servers are taking orders in a timely fashion and communicate with Executive Chef in regard to reservations/guests numbers.
· Ensure that staff clock out immediately after cash-out is printed. Take daily paperwork/cash-outs, accounting forms to front desk, and/or safe deposit.
· Ensure that all closing procedures are completed, lights/music off
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)
· Previous experience in fine dining an asset;
· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age;
· Ontario Smart Serve certification;
· Food handling certification an asset but not required;
· First Aid/CPR certification an asset but not required.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/REQUIREMENTS
· Indoors and outdoors in the spring/summer and fall weather conditions on covered patio, dining room and conference rooms.
· Moving furniture when preparing special arrangements.
· Must be able to lift 50 LBS.
· Long periods of standing on your feet.
· Must be willing to work morning shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays.
